Yoan Iglev is a Bulgarian painter whose art has attracted attention of people the world over. Iglev, known due to his monumental murals as well as complex mosaics, mixes the traditional with the modern, forming the pieces that are not subject to geographical or cultural demarcation.

His birth took place in Plovdiv, where he was enrolled in the National Academy of Art in Sofia, where he perfected his skills in monumental painting. His initial encounter with global art movements prompted him to experiment with new materials, styles, and techniques, adding to the Bulgarian cultural stories the elements of the world art. This is due to his capacity to unite the classical artistry with modernity, which renders his work to echo among a wide array of audiences.

Yoan Iglev has been able to display his work in other countries around the world and in particular Europe and North America. His mosaics and murals are renowned by the use of bright palette and new methods of work, as well as by the depth of narration. Every work has a certain message, which in most cases reflect on societal, historical, or cultural issues, as well as inviting the audience to be active participants in the spaces in which they occupy.
